Chocolate Mint OG manages to combine the delicious flavours of chocolate and mint in one marijuana package! It was created by crossing an Emerald OG with a Grandaddy Purple. This is an indica-dominant strain with 80% indica genetics.
Chocolate Mint OG develops lovely shades of blue and purple during flowering with lower night temperatures. The early vegetative growth is incredibly vigorous and so if space is at a premium indoors it is advisable not to veg. for too long. Once into flowering some training will definitely be necessary to support the weight of the buds on its long branches. The inter-nodal bud-site spacing is quite long and so this allows for good light penetration into the inner buds.
Grown indoors harvests yield between 350 – 500 gr/m2 in a flowering time of 58 – 63 days. Outdoors these plants can grow to 3 or 4 meters in height and yield between 1 and 2 kilos each dried weight. The flavour and aroma is very deep and rich; chocolate, mint, pine, spices with some acidity present too. THC production is very high and falls within the range 22% – 26% with low 0.1% CBD. The effect is very, very powerful and is not recommended for novices. It is both physical and cerebral and long-lasting. It is definiteley a night-time smoke unless free from all cares and duties for the day!
CBD Kush is a medicinal marijuana strain which produces THC:CBD in the ratio 1:1. Average levels of both cannabinoids are in the region of 8%. High THC Kandy Kush was crossed with a high CBD strain to create this kind plant. Although an indica/sativa hybrid its appearance is very much indica and it grows to only about 100 cm in height.
CBD Kush is recommended for indoor and greenhouse cultivation; flowering times indoors are in the region of 9 weeks. In warmer regions outdoor cultivation is also possible.
Although this strain is aimed at the medical marijuana community recreational cannabis will also find appeal with this plant as it has a very manageable, relaxing effect with a strong body-stone sensation.
OG Kush is one of the most popular marijuana strains to have come out of the USA. It’s a 75% indica plant created by crossing a Lemon Thai x Pakistani plant with ChemDawg. Tremendously potent cannabis!
OG Kush stands for Ocean Grown Kush as legend has it that it was first grown next to the Pacific Ocean in California’s San Fernando valley. It is a strain that is much prized both by RAP artists as well as by cannabis connoisseurs and is also known as Original Gangster Kush. It’s a medium-sized plant that produces very potent, dense, resinous buds that contain as much as 24% THC! If growing OG Kush near to neighbours you are advised to use carbon-filtering as they create quite a stink in the grow-room.
Indoors yields are maximised using a SoG growing set-up; in a mere 55 days of flowering growers can harvest 550 gr/m2 of superb quality buds. OG Kush will also grow very well outdoors in warm climates, such as that found in the Mediterranean region, or in a greenhouse in cooler locations. These plants can grow to a height of 3 meters if planted directly in the ground and yields will be a very rewarding 1100 gr/plant with harvest time being in the first half of October in northern latitudes.
The flavours and aromas of OG Kush are immediately fruity with marked notes of diesel, berries and citrus fruits. Its 24% THC and very low CBD production of just 0.23% makes this one hell of a psycho-actively potent cannabis variety which starts out as a very cerebral trip before evolving into an extremely relaxing and pleasant high that eventually becomes quite heavy thus offering a spectrum of sensations.
Royal Gorilla is an insanely potent 50/50 indica/sativa hybrid cannabis strain that originated in the USA. Royal Gorilla is the result of a serendipitous crossing of Chem Sis with Sour Dubb, when the Chem Sis went hermie, with the later addition of Chocolate Diesel. It was named Gorilla Glue in the US after the powerful adhesive which reflects the stickiness of the absurd amounts of resin of which this plant is capable of producing. It has great medicinal potential.
Not only is this a very potent strain, with some pheno-types producing an astonishing 30% THC, but it is also a pretty good yielder too. Indoors plants will produce between 500 – 550 gr/m2 in a 9 week flowering period if given 600 watts of lighting. Outdoors cultivation is restricted to warm climates meaning that a Mediterranean climate is ideal. In this environment production will be approximately 550 – 600 gr/plant with northern hemisphere harvests taking place in the middle of October. The leaves of this cannabis strain are an attractive lime green and its buds dense and large. Such is the resin production of this plant that even the larger leaves will sparkle with it.
The taste has a foundation of sweet earthiness which is enlivened by notes of pine and lemon from the terpenes pinene and limonene. Although some pheno-types can reach 30% THC the average for the “lesser” phenos is around 26%, still pretty incredible for any other strain. CBD levels are low at less than 1% and this helps to give this weed an immensely potent effect which is deeply relaxing but which also offers an uplifting, cerebral and happy quality that makes it such a special weed strain. This really is something that even the most jaded cannasseur will sit up and take notice of.
Passion Fruit is quite possibly the fruitiest cannabis strain around. It was created by crossing a Sweet Pink Grapefruit clone with Orange Bud. It is an indica/sativa hybrid strain with exceptional yields.
Passion Fruit can be grown in all growing environments taking just 8 weeks to flower indoors. If growing outdoors harvest will be in early October and will be more suited to warmer regions such as those of central and southern Europe. THC production is very high, in excess of 20% with correspondingly low levels of CBD at less than 0.5%. The overwhelming aroma and taste is, just as you would expect, clearly of passion fruit.
CBD Shark is a high CBD version of Shark Shock, itself a cross between White Widow and Skunk #1. The THC:CBD ratio of this strain is 1:1 at 6% each of these cannabinoids.
At 80% indica this is a plant for indoor and greenhouse cultivation, yields of 400 gr/m2are possible in 8 weeks of flowering but if higher yields are desired then this can be achieved by vegging. the plants for longer. In the greenhouse harvests will be in October (northern hemisphere). The predominant aroma is quite fruity but with onion and garlic back-notes. Recommended for pain relief and those suffering the effects of anxiety and inflammation.

“In our first episode, host Matt Zimbric heads to a secret Californian medical marijuana garden run by Nonna Marijuana, a 91-year-old grandmother who cooks classic Italian with a twist. Using buds grown by her own daughter, Nonna teaches Matt a foolproof method for infusing cannabis into butter, then guides him through preparing Chicken “Pot-cciatore” and gnocchi in ganja butter. Along the way, she explains how and why she recommends medical marijuana to those in need—without ever getting high on her own supply. Matt, on the other hand, may regret going back for seconds.”
