OG Kush – Recommended High THC Cannabis Seed Strain

OG Kush - Recommended High THC cannabis seed strain - Weed Recommend

OG Kush is one of the most popular marijuana strains to have come out of the USA. It’s a 75% indica plant created by crossing a Lemon Thai x Pakistani plant with ChemDawg. Tremendously potent cannabis!

OG Kush stands for Ocean Grown Kush as legend has it that it was first grown next to the Pacific Ocean in California’s San Fernando valley. It is a strain that is much prized both by RAP artists as well as by cannabis connoisseurs and is also known as Original Gangster Kush. It’s a medium-sized plant that produces very potent, dense, resinous buds that contain as much as 24% THC! If growing OG Kush near to neighbours you are advised to use carbon-filtering as they create quite a stink in the grow-room.

Indoors yields are maximised using a SoG growing set-up; in a mere 55 days of flowering growers can harvest 550 gr/m2 of superb quality buds. OG Kush will also grow very well outdoors in warm climates, such as that found in the Mediterranean region, or in a greenhouse in cooler locations. These plants can grow to a height of 3 meters if planted directly in the ground and yields will be a very rewarding 1100 gr/plant with harvest time being in the first half of October in northern latitudes.

The flavours and aromas of OG Kush are immediately fruity with marked notes of diesel, berries and citrus fruits. Its 24% THC and very low CBD production of just 0.23% makes this one hell of a psycho-actively potent cannabis variety which starts out as a very cerebral trip before evolving into an extremely relaxing and pleasant high that eventually becomes quite heavy thus offering a spectrum of sensations.

Cannabis Cuisine with Grandma Nonna

“In our first episode, host Matt Zimbric heads to a secret Californian medical marijuana garden run by Nonna Marijuana, a 91-year-old grandmother who cooks classic Italian with a twist. Using buds grown by her own daughter, Nonna teaches Matt a foolproof method for infusing cannabis into butter, then guides him through preparing Chicken “Pot-cciatore” and gnocchi in ganja butter. Along the way, she explains how and why she recommends medical marijuana to those in need—without ever getting high on her own supply. Matt, on the other hand, may regret going back for seconds.”

PotCoin – The Cannabis Industry’s Cryptocurrency

Weed Recommend Potcoin

Potcoin is, in my opinion, the cannabis industry’s very own version of bitcoin – using the blockchain technology that cryptocurrencies like bitcoin are based on. The main use of the currency has been to bypass the banks who are refusing to provide cannabis dispensaries with the same financial services that other legal businesses are accustomed to – like holding money. These policies by the big financial institutions have left cannabis businesses vulnerable to opportunist armed thieves, needing heavy security to hold the large sums of cash generated at weed shops

Rivals

Potcoin, having been up against a few other cannabis themed cryptocurrencies early on in it’s life, has emerged as one of the leaders in becoming an industry standard digital payment method. The other cannabis based crypto currencies never really caught up with the spread of Potcoin and have slowly faded into the background. Potcoin has been adopted as the main cryptocurrency (or altcoin) by a vast number of cannabis industry vendors – even over more mainstream currencies like BitCoin, Dash, Etherum , Litecoin etc

Dash is seeking to do the same job for dispensaries as Potcoin so is there room for both? I’m guessing yes, with room for a few more altcoin. When you consider that most Potcoin owners are from the wider cannabis community and many businesses accept it then you can only assume it will be here to stay, albeit among others

Privacy

If privacy is a concern for you – Potcoin, like other cryptocurrencies allows for you to remain anonymous when purchasing cannabis industry products and services as there is no personal details needed to own a wallet –  *some websites offering wallets may require personal details*  You can keep your anonymity if you need to as you can make as many different wallet addresses as you like

Potcoin Wallets

You can own a wallet on your computer and other devices or have an online website hold it for you…or both. Having your own wallet on your computer has some great advantages over online wallets. One being that Potcoin wallets can be moved to a portable hard drive for safe keeping. The other one is that keeping Potcoin in a wallet on your computer or other devices means your Potcoin isn’t vulnerable to being stolen or disappearing from the online wallets provided by websites who could come under attack from hackers. The other great advantage to having the Potcoin wallet running from your computer or device is that you can yield a 5% annual return on your Potcoin just by being a node on the network, which helps speed up the network and transactions, I like that part!

Here’s a brief introduction video on Potcoin, produced by PotWallet.com where you can download the PotCoin Wallet to keep on your computer or portable device or you can use one of their online wallets – Recommended if you’re a technophobe

What is Potcoin? – Digital Currency for the Cannabis Industry

“PotCoin www.Potcoin.com was designed to empower, secure and facilitate the legal cannabis community’s transactions by creating a unique crypto currency for this thriving industry. PotCoin removes the need for cash transactions and encourages buying through consumer incentives. On every level of the cannabis industry, users and supporters can entrust PotCoin to extend credibility, stability and security to this growing market” – Potwallet.com

I encourage all of the cannabis family to research the currency as well as the many other good cryptos out there. Potcoin is my first choice if my vendor accepts it as payment because I feel like it is ours – the cannabis community’s to use and value. The idea is that the more people who buy and use PotCoin the more the currency is worth and the more stable it becomes. Beware though, if you are trying to make some money through trading it remember that cryptocurrencies are volatile so can change in value very quickly. If you are taking the leap to buy and hold Potcoin for the long haul in a hope that the value increases then only gamble with a small amount of money, small enough that you won’t miss it if its lost, All currencies fluxuate in price so are a gamble, crypto is just a  much bigger gamble with much bigger losses and gains to be had. Please do lots of research if your intention is to trade any crypto

Colombia Gold: Cannabis Politics, Valhalla & Fair Trade

Video playlist below

“Cannabis News Network traveled down to Colombia for an exclusive 3 part report on the state of medical cannabis in Colombia: Colombia Gold. This is part 1 on cannabis politics.

Colombia is perhaps best known among most people for the failed War on Drugs, thanks to Netflix’ internationally acclaimed ‘Narcos’ which debuted in 2015. Whereas the whole world was introduced to the horrors of a failed War on Drugs in the beautiful country of Colombia, the country itself wants to move on from a war that got 220.000 people killed, millions of people homeless and billions of dollars wasted.

Legislation in 2012 had already decriminalized private use, possession of up to 20 grams and 20 plants for personal use. 3 years later in 2015, Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos legalized medical cannabis. The Nobel Peace Prize winner of 2016, announced in a nationally televised address he signed legislation, allowing licenses to be granted for the possession of seeds, cannabis plants and cannabis.

We’re now two years further and Cannabis News Network traveled down to Colombia for an exclusive report on the state of medical cannabis in Colombia: Colombia Gold.

The three part series called Colombia Gold, features a wide variety of experts including Martin Jelsma (Transnational Institute), Andrés López (Director National Narcotics Control), Ricardo Vargas (Director de Acción Andina Colombia), Diana Paola Valenzuela (Institute of Studies for Development and Peace), Julian Caicedo (Anandamida Gardens) and more.

We take a look at the politics of cannabis, medical cannabis licenses and fair trade cannabis. Especially the latter two are dubious, as the first license was handed to a privately owned Canadian medical cannabis company, Khiron. The licenses granted also allow companies to export legal medicinal cannabis. Quite a change looking at recent history”
