Barney’s Farm

CBD Crew
CBD Crew was formed in 2009 by Shantibaba of Mr. Nice Seeds and Jaime of Resin Seeds, after the latter’s creation of Cannatonic, a 1:1 THC:CBD strain released under the Resin brand.
The success and popularity of the Cannatonic strain attracted the interest of Shantibaba and so a partnership between the two legendary breeders was formed.
Since its formation, CBD Crew have focused their efforts on achieving a 1:1 ratio of THC:CBD in all of their strains.
Dinafem Seeds
In 2005, after accumulating years of experience growing cannabis in all of its varieties, Dinafem Seeds decided to cultivate their own strains.
By the end of the 21st century, Dinafem Seeds was not only recognised for their superior preservation techniques, but also for the high quality of their feminised strains. Their Moby Dick CBD is immensely popular thanks to its fantastic medicinal properties and long-lasting cerebral effect. While their fantastic Blue Kush strain is a customer favourite for its potency and its intense flavour and aroma.
Dutch Passion
In the 1970’s, Dutch Passion’s founder, Henk van Dalen, began collecting and breeding with cannabis seeds which he found in the early Dutch cannabis imports arriving from all over the world. He realised that it was possible to grow your own cannabis and often it was far superior to the often poor-quality, heavily seeded, imported product.
Crowned Best Seed bank at Spannabis 2014, Dutch Passion are well known for their sophistication and quality. The Dutch Passion breeders concern themselves with creating and preserving quality, and their varieties have won many prizes in cannabis cup competitions.
Flying Dutchmen
Eddie, the founder of The Flying Dutchmen may have had humble beginnings but that all changed by 1984, when he opened a wholesale genetics business, cultivating new hybrids for the market with fellow breeder Skunkman.Together, Eddie and Skunkman introduced the very first Skunk#1 to the market along with a host of other new strains.
In order to find unique parental stock, tens of thousands of each strain were grown out in greenhouses, the best were selected and preserved. These best plants were inbred until the strain was considered stable or pure breeding. Crosses between two stable varieties are known as F1 hybrids.
Grass-O-Matic Seeds
The first seed bank in the world to feminize auto-flowering plants, Grass-o-Matic seeds have made a name for themselves in the breeding industry, despite being a relatively small company.

Mr. Nice Seedbank
Howard Marks and Shantibaba, the men who created Mr Nice Seedbank, met during the late 1990’s while living and working in Holland. In 1995, Shantibaba had set up the Greenhouse Seed Company. Coincidentally, at the same time, Howard was released from a lengthy imprisonment in the USA.

Another venture that Green House are heavily involved in is Strain Hunters. The Strain Hunters brand started as a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.
