Gypsy Widow is an inbred cross of two White Widow phenotypes. One is more indica-like with a shorter flowering period and dense buds; the other is a more sativa expression of this 1990s Dutch Coffeeshop queen which produces more resin over a longer flowering period. The resulting Gypsy Widow has a vegetative stage that is very indica but when the photo-period kicks in long, dense buds are formed which become heavier and heavier until a point is reached where they must be supported with canes or nets lest the stems snap. Yields are good at between 500 gr and 550 gr/m2 indoors.
The total flowering time is a very respectable 8 – 9 weeks. The aroma of Gypsy Widow encompasses citrus tones, predominantly that of fresh lemons with some incense character. The effect is very powerful; both physically and cerebrally so and evolves into a feeling of relaxation that is recommended for its medical uses.
By crossing Critical Kush with the pure CBD mother plant, Barney’s Farm and CBD Crew have created Critical Cure in the hope that this medicine gains further acceptance not only within the medical marijuana community but also among those with medical needs who are normally sceptical of cannabis.
CBD Critical Cure is a small plant that will reach a height of 50 – 70 cm. yielding in the region of 400 gr/m2 after 8 – 9 weeks flowering when grown indoors. It is also suitable for outdoor cultivation where it will be ready to harvest by late September.
This new variety has exceptionally high CBD levels with an intense and earthy profile, with just a hint of sweetness. CBD Critical Cure, is a strain that is exceptionally appropriate for healing purposes. Consider the numbers: CBD at 8.13%, with THC lowered to 5.5%. The medical implications are clear for those who seek pain relief with moderated psycho-active effects.
Critical Cure is a unique strain that represents the latest advancements in cannabis genetics and natural medicine.
Chocolate Mint OG manages to combine the delicious flavours of chocolate and mint in one marijuana package! It was created by crossing an Emerald OG with a Grandaddy Purple. This is an indica-dominant strain with 80% indica genetics.
Chocolate Mint OG develops lovely shades of blue and purple during flowering with lower night temperatures. The early vegetative growth is incredibly vigorous and so if space is at a premium indoors it is advisable not to veg. for too long. Once into flowering some training will definitely be necessary to support the weight of the buds on its long branches. The inter-nodal bud-site spacing is quite long and so this allows for good light penetration into the inner buds.
Grown indoors harvests yield between 350 – 500 gr/m2 in a flowering time of 58 – 63 days. Outdoors these plants can grow to 3 or 4 meters in height and yield between 1 and 2 kilos each dried weight. The flavour and aroma is very deep and rich; chocolate, mint, pine, spices with some acidity present too. THC production is very high and falls within the range 22% – 26% with low 0.1% CBD. The effect is very, very powerful and is not recommended for novices. It is both physical and cerebral and long-lasting. It is definiteley a night-time smoke unless free from all cares and duties for the day!
OG Kush is one of the most popular marijuana strains to have come out of the USA. It’s a 75% indica plant created by crossing a Lemon Thai x Pakistani plant with ChemDawg. Tremendously potent cannabis!
OG Kush stands for Ocean Grown Kush as legend has it that it was first grown next to the Pacific Ocean in California’s San Fernando valley. It is a strain that is much prized both by RAP artists as well as by cannabis connoisseurs and is also known as Original Gangster Kush. It’s a medium-sized plant that produces very potent, dense, resinous buds that contain as much as 24% THC! If growing OG Kush near to neighbours you are advised to use carbon-filtering as they create quite a stink in the grow-room.
Indoors yields are maximised using a SoG growing set-up; in a mere 55 days of flowering growers can harvest 550 gr/m2 of superb quality buds. OG Kush will also grow very well outdoors in warm climates, such as that found in the Mediterranean region, or in a greenhouse in cooler locations. These plants can grow to a height of 3 meters if planted directly in the ground and yields will be a very rewarding 1100 gr/plant with harvest time being in the first half of October in northern latitudes.
The flavours and aromas of OG Kush are immediately fruity with marked notes of diesel, berries and citrus fruits. Its 24% THC and very low CBD production of just 0.23% makes this one hell of a psycho-actively potent cannabis variety which starts out as a very cerebral trip before evolving into an extremely relaxing and pleasant high that eventually becomes quite heavy thus offering a spectrum of sensations.
CBD Crew was formed in 2009 by Shantibaba of Mr. Nice Seeds and Jaime of Resin Seeds, after the latter’s creation of Cannatonic, a 1:1 THC:CBD strain released under the Resin brand.
The success and popularity of the Cannatonic strain attracted the interest of Shantibaba and so a partnership between the two legendary breeders was formed.
Since its formation, CBD Crew have focused their efforts on achieving a 1:1 ratio of THC:CBD in all of their strains.
CBD Crew believe the advantageous properties of Cannabiodol are valuable, from prohibiting cancer cell growth, to reducing convulsions and anxiety. Their expansive seed collection of CBD enriched strains enable people with health issues to securely cultivate their own medication at home, safe in the knowledge that the ratio of cannabinoids is beneficial for their ailment.
CBD Crew have published lab results for all of their strains, which confirm that ratio of THC:CBD is 1:1. Speaking to the media regarding their desire to accomplish flawless CBD rich strains, Jaime stated:
“With Cannatonic we discovered that only 50% of the plants grown were CBD rich. This means that out of a packet of 10 seeds you would only find 5 plants that were really CBD-rich. Our goal was to overcome this problem and offer seeds that are 100% CBD-rich, which for patients would mean that they do not need to test samples to select a mother for producing their own medicine.”
The success of CBD Crew has seen the seedbank acquire plenty of high profile supporters including renowned author Jorge Cervantes and the late Howard Marks. In recent times, the popularity of CBD Crew has grown after a number of research studies indicated the medical validity of the cannabinoid. Each strain in the seedbanks’ collection can help with a variety of specific ailments
